Initial Goal Setting

The first step to being successful, is to get specific about what you want.  Take a few minutes to think.

Try to imagine yourself in the future once the work has been done, how does your body look, feel and function?  Are you lean, strong, energised and capable? How does this feel to you?  Try to imagine yourself in that body.

What does a typical week look like in your lifestyle?  How much sleep do you get? What activities are you participating in? How are you eating for nourishment? Are you feeling calm and connected?

Try to image yourself living that personal best version of your life.  That is our goal.  Once you have a clear picture in your mind of how you want things to be, complete the relevant questions below.

Step 2, is to visualise the plan.  The plan should include your training sessions with your trainer, your homework sessions you will do on your own or as part of our groups, your weekly meal plan, your sleep schedule.  Your plan will adjust over time.

Once you have clarified your goals, the most important step is to visualise yourself executing the plan over and over.  For example, if your goal is to lose weight, move past visualising your body as thinner, and visualise yourself doing the work required, eating healthy, sleeping well, exercising consitently and actively reducing your stress.  This is what will create lasting change n your lifestyle and result in the outcome you are seeking.

Once you have discussed your responses with your trainer, cement the plan into your life by adding it to your schedule with reminders, and use the My Trainer app to track your workouts and your progress.

How are you going to feel once you achieve these goals? What will you be able to do that you cannot do now?
Please be realistic here, think about what you can actually achieve on a weekly basis.
The key to you success lies in your PLAN B. What happens if you cannot do PLAN A? Really think hard about how you can still meet your goals in other ways.
